WSJ learns about 11 sets of classified documents seized from Trump’s house

Some of the documents are marked “Top Secret”, and access to them is provided only in special state institutions, writes The Wall Street Journal

US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents seized 11 sets of classified documents during a search of Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, The Wall Street Journal found out. Among them are those marked “top secret”, access to which should be carried out only in special government institutions.

The newspaper writes that it has reviewed the list of items confiscated at Trump's house. According to the publication, FBI agents in total took about 20 boxes of belongings, folders with photographs, a handwritten note and a pardon document for Roger Stone, an American lobbyist and adviser to Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, from the ex-president's house.

The list also mentions “information about the President of France.” The seven-page document with this list also includes details of a search warrant issued by a federal judge in Florida.

Trump announced the search at his home on August 9. Sources of The New York Times linked him to secret documents that the ex-president took from the White House after his resignation. According to the newspaper, the National Archives of the United States asked for the return of the document “many months” and contacted the FBI because of the likely risk of destruction of these materials.

Trump called the actions of the FBI “an unreasonable and unnecessary raid.” He also called for the disclosure of documents related to the search.

The material is being supplemented.
